OSHA 30-HOUR GENERAL INDUSTRY
COURSE OVERVIEW
This course provides a comprehensive overview of the General Industry Safety and Health Standards, 29 CFR 1910 and OSH regulatory requirements.
Generally, the 30-hour course is scheduled for Monday through Friday. We can adjust the training schedule to meet your needs, however, all 30 hours must be completed within 6 months.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Mandatory Topics — 12 Hours
- Introduction to OSHA
- Managing Safety and Health
- Walking & Working Surfaces, including fall protection
- Exit Routes, Emergency Action Plans, Fire Prevention Plans, and Fire Protection
- Electrical
- Personal Protective & Lifesaving Equipment (PPE)
- Materials Handling
- Hazard Communication
Elective Topics — 10 Hours
- Hazardous Materials: Flammable and Combustible Liquids, Spray Finishing, Compressed Gases, Dipping and Coating Operations
- Permit-Required Confined Spaces
- Lockout / Tagout
- Machine Guarding
- Welding, Cutting, and Brazing
- Introduction to Industrial Hygiene
- Bloodborne Pathogens
- Ergonomics
- Fall Protection
- Safety and Health Programs
- Powered Industrial Vehicles
Optional Topics — 8 Hours
