FORKLIFT OPERATOR TRAINING
COURSE OVERVIEW
In this training course we instruct students about Forklift Operator safety. This class addresses the major areas needed to comply with the OSHA standard 29 CFR 1910.178.
This is a 4-hour course (depending upon class size) that includes:
- OSHA Standard Types & characteristics of forklifts.
- Pre-operational inspections of forklifts.
- Basic driving, stability, and load handling.
- Inspection and safe use of fuel & batteries.
In addition to the classroom training, this course requires that all students participate in a hands-on practical instruction.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- To complete this course each student must be evaluated by one of our trainers as they demonstrate the skills necessary to safely operate a Fork Lift as described by 29 CFR 1910.178.
- Upon successful completion, a 3-year Forklift Truck certificate will be issued, verifying that a hands-on practical evaluation has been completed.
